This is often the most practical approach for large to medium sized tree removal in urban and built up areas where there can be many obstacles to take into consideration. For example, surrounding buildings, telephone and power lines, roads, etc.

After an initial assessment of the tree, suitable anchor points are established to install the main climbing rope, rigging kit and friction devices where necessary to ensure that each branch and section is removed in a safe and controlled manner with guidance from ground staff.
